Our promise
Swing is built around anonymity. We collect the minimum needed to run the app, keep conversations private between the two people in a session, and never sell your data. This page explains plainly what we handle and why.
What we collect
- Account credentials: your email address and a hashed password (we never see the plain text). Used only to sign you in and verify your account.
- Profile details you provide: a display name (first name only), age, country, bio, and an optional avatar. These are shown to a partner only after a mutual like unlocks the room.
- Messages: the text you send in a session. These are visible only to the two participants and to our admins if a report is filed.
- Usage data: anonymous analytics events (such as sessions started and mutual matches) that help us understand how the app is used. These are aggregated and never tied to your identity.
How we use it
- To pair you with a stranger for a one-minute session.
- To show your unlocked profile to a partner after a mutual like.
- To deliver messages between the two people in a session.
- To investigate reports and block abusive users.
- To keep the service running and improve it over time.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data to anyone.
- We don't show you ads or share you with advertisers.
- We don't track you across other apps or websites.
- We don't make your profile public — it only appears to a matched partner after a mutual like.
Who can see your data
Your messages and session details are visible only to you and your session partner. Our admins can access records solely to investigate reports and keep the community safe. No one else can read your conversations.
Safety & adults only
Swing is for adults 18 and older. You confirm your age when you create a profile. If you encounter someone underage or unsafe, use the report and block tools inside any session. Reported users are reviewed and may be banned.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time from the app's settings. This wipes your profile, sessions, messages, and queue entries, and signs you out. Some records may be retained briefly to complete safety investigations as required by law.
